The School Sports Quiz: Powered by Sligo Education Centre & Off the Ball - proceeds donated to Pieta House
Moyle Park College has claimed victory in the first-ever School Sports Quiz, an exciting nationwide competition powered by Sligo Education Centre and Off the Ball, with proceeds benefiting Pieta House. The competition saw schools from across Ireland put their sports knowledge to the test, culminating in a thrilling live online final where the Dublin-based school emerged as champions.
The prize presentation took place at the Off the Ball studios, where the winning team was awarded the prestigious cup by Daragh McDaid, Director of Sligo Education Centre. Accompanied by their teacher, John Quane, the students also enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the studios, making their achievement even more memorable. The event concluded with the official presentation of proceeds to Joe Burke from Pieta House.
The School Sports Quiz, featured three rounds of ten questions each plus a tiebreaker round, with schools represented by teams of four students. Feedback from participating schools has been overwhelmingly positive, with both students and teachers praising the quiz’s engaging format and fast-paced structure:
