SNAs – ICT Tools for Special Needs Assistants
If you are working as an SNA/ISA currently, you must be aware of the unprecedented need for engagement by teachers with ICTs to ensure communication and effective learning by pupils.
SEN teachers are engaging with their pupils by creating individual customised resources and uploading them via such websites as Seesaw and others.
When “normal” school service resumes, teachers and pupils will be much more comfortable using ICTs and they will form a much greater part of everyday interactions and work.
As an SNA, the opportunity is now being provided for you to become familiar with the apps/websites being used. A great chance to upskill and be fully familiar with the programs in use by the pupils in your care when you return to school.
