Eva O Neill (@missoneilljuniorinfants) will look at what happens during the first term of Junior Infants. She will focus on learning through play, building early literacy skills, and introducing basic maths. There will be opportunities to ask questions and share ideas.
This webinar is suited to teachers taking an Infant class for the first time, going back to the infant classroom after an absence and NQTS with an interest in teaching infants.
Facilitator: Eva O’Neill is a primary school teacher from Mayo. She has taught Junior and Senior Infants for 9 years and has an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education. Eva also works for Hibernia College on the PME course as an assessor and tutor in Early Childhood Education. She has a keen interest in developmentally appropriate practice in the early years, literacy, and all things play.
