Job Title: Accounts Administrator
Nature of Employment:
16 hours per week, in accordance with General Conditions of Employment. The contract is for a period of twelve months’ subject to satisfactory completion of a three-month probationary period.
The Organisation:
Sligo Education Centre promotes partnership in education by providing access to training, development and support for teachers and the wider education community. Sligo Education Centre is funded by the Teacher Education Section of the Department of Education.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Full management of the Centre's Finance function
- Maintenance of Payroll System to include weekly payroll processing, payroll reconciliation, Revenue payroll submissions, travel and Subsistence claims
- Full management of the Debtors and Creditors Ledgers to include processing of invoices and weekly creditors payment runs.
- Revenue returns to include submission of P-Mod Payroll, VAT, RCT, PSWT
- Reconciliation of Bank Accounts, Credit Card and PayPal
- Financial Management Reports including Monthly Management Accounts and other ad-hoc reports as required
- Liaise with Auditors and Department with regards Annual Audit Requirements
- Completion of Annual Reports to the Department, including annual & interim budgets
- Liaise with Director to Project Budgets and analyse variances
- Additional finance ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements
- Accounts Technician or Part-Qualified Accountant desirable
- A minimum of 3-5 years accounts experience, in a similar environment is essential
- Previous experience with Department funding and reports highly advantageous
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word & Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Meticulous organisational skills and attention to detail
- Hardworking and reliable
- Ability to multi-task
Salary:
Remuneration will be on Grade IV of Salary Scales for Clerical and Administrative Staff in ETBs. This role is for 16 hours per week, and the equivalent pro rata salary scale for point 1 will be €13,867 per annum rising to €20,249.
