Workplace Training and Compliance schools training in conjunction with Sligo Education Centre are presenting Behaviours of Concern programme.
Behaviours of concern can be defined as “behaviours that indicate a risk to the safety or wellbeing of the people who exhibit them or to others”. In this training session, we look at the types of behaviours that are displayed in the school environment, we look at ways to reduce risk to all who attend school, and we focus on strategies to assist children in prevention of crisis.
We also focus on the law and interpreting what is appropriate in these emergency situations.

Manual Handling involves lifting putting down , pushing , pulling, carrying and moving.
This can be inanimate handling e.g. chairs, tables movements etc or animate handling e.g. assisting children.
We will focus on the various scenarios that present in a school environment and how best to assist a child and keep ourselves safe.

All staff needs to understand and follow the policies and procedures for handling personal data and lead by example in how they handle the data. In this training session we look at explaining what GDPR is, how it affects you, what you must do, identify types of data that are confidential and look at ways to adhere to the law. The focus of this course is around school environments.
