This series of webinars explores concrete and visual ways to explore the basic number facts for MULTIPLICATION and DIVISION (aka Tables) with children, in such a way that they:
- gain a better understanding of the connections between and among these number facts
- AND are enabled to develop and use thinking strategies to perform mental calculations beyond the traditional limits of tables.
The webinars will also explore a variety of approaches and activities, most based on simple, readily available resources, that can be used to foster mathematical modelling, rich maths talk and the development of a productive disposition to maths, all of which will be key pedagogies of the new primary maths curriculum
Suitable for teachers of third and fourth classes.
