Sligo Education Centre aims to provide support to teachers and the wider education community, and to be an accessible and welcoming place of learning, reflection and social interaction.
Welcome to our website, the aim of which is to provide an on-line service for the teachers of Sligo and surrounding areas.Through this website we hope to provide access to the Education Centre's resources and to keep teachers informed of up coming events and courses available to them here in the Sligo Education Centre.

CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID for ALL School Staff

July 2nd . 3rd & 4th
DETAILS


This course is a FETAC Level 5 as set out by the Health and Safety at Work General
Application Regulations 2007. It covers the requirement for all workplaces, including
schools to have a person on staff with an occupational first aid qualification. This
qualification details best practice in relation to recognition and treatment of injuries and
also meets the content objectives under SPHE.

This course does NOT qualify for E.V.P.s days

FARM SAFETY AWARENESS - POSTER AND SLOGAN COMPETITION

Sligo Education Centre, in conjunction with the Health and Safety Authority (HSA), is organising a Poster and Slogan Competition for primary schools. The competition is aimed at raising awareness among students and their families about the critical issue of safety on farms.

Sligo Education Centre
in association with the Yeats Day Celebration would like to invite your pupils to enter a Poster competition to celebrate the work of W.B. Yeats. W.B Yeats’ birthday is June 13 and we invite you to participate in this year’s celebration by creating a poster which will be displayed in the town centre on the day.
