Sligo Education Centre aims to provide support to teachers and the wider education community, and to be an accessible and welcoming place of learning, reflection and social interaction.Welcome to our website, the aim of which is to provide an on-line service for the teachers of Sligo and surrounding areas.Through this website we hope to provide access to the Education Centre's resources and to keep teachers informed of up coming events and courses available to them here in the Sligo Education Centre.

Mental Health Awareness Initiative

The workshop will explore elements of the Well-Being Guidelines for Primary Schools and offer practical tips on how to best support and promote the mental health of the students in your care. Self-care is a fundamental element of the teaching profession which will also be addressed in the workshop.

Belfast RDS Primary Science Fair:Support & Guidance   more
Date :January 25th  ( 4.30 - 6.30)
Venue: Sligo Education Centre
Facilitator: Michael Browne
Michael Browne works with the RDS on STEM learning
projects and is a judge on the Primary Science Fair. He also
lectures in science at Mary Immaculate College and runs
outreach STEM projects for colleges and education centres.
